Sources and methods

Calculator pages link to the official or public guidance relevant to their models. Methods, examples and exclusions explain what an estimate includes. Individual circumstances and provider arrangements can fall outside a calculator’s model.

Review information

A manual review date records a review of the published calculator model and supporting content. Automated checks compare selected configured rules with source pages; they do not establish every eligibility condition or guarantee accuracy. A mismatch or unavailable source is shown as a review warning rather than proof of entitlement.

AI-assisted content

Some FAQ drafts are AI-assisted. Published FAQs are stored with the calculator definitions and are not generated live for each visitor. The visible answers and FAQ structured data use the same content. AI assistance is not a substitute for checking the calculation model and authoritative sources.

Advertising

The site is configured to display advertising through Google AdSense in production. Ads are separate from calculator results. An advertisement or source link should not be interpreted as a recommendation or endorsement.

Limits and corrections

Calculators do not provide personalised advice. If an estimate appears inconsistent, check the inputs, assumptions and linked official guidance before relying on it. Review warnings remain visible until the applicable checks have been completed.
